What We Collect
The Pyre Wiki collects minimal personal information. The following data may be stored when you interact with the wiki:
Account Information
If you create an account, we store your username and optionally your email address if you choose to provide one. Your real name is never required and we strongly recommend you do not enter it. Passwords are stored as secure hashes and are never accessible to administrators.
Edit History
All edits made to the wiki are permanently logged and publicly visible, including the username or IP address of the editor, the time of the edit, and the content of the change. This is a core feature of MediaWiki and cannot be opted out of while editing.
IP Addresses
If you edit without an account, your IP address is recorded in place of a username and is publicly visible in edit logs. Creating an account hides your IP address from public view.
Cookies
The wiki uses cookies to maintain your login session and store basic preferences such as your chosen display theme. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties
- We do not require a real name, phone number, or payment information
- We do not track your activity outside of the wiki
Data Retention
Edit history is retained indefinitely as part of the wiki's public record. If you wish to have your account or personal information removed, contact a wiki administrator via the Discord server.
Contact
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, please reach out via the Pyre Discord server or contact Moshi directly.
