Infection

Infection is a Major Event that lasts up to 5 minutes. Once the event starts, 3 random players are chosen to be “Infected”. Infected player’s main objective is to infect other players by hitting them while they are at 3 hearts or less of health. For every player infected, all currently infected players gain +250 Gold.

Infected players do not lose Mythic Lives on death (Excluding Mini Mythics and Corrupts), gain Speed II, increased fist damage, and gain 30s of Resistance II each death. Infected players have a unique particle effect and colored names for easy identification.

For the duration of the event, non-infected players cannot harm other non-infected players, and can only kill infected players.

Surviving the event without being infected grants 5,000 gold and 1000 XP. The top non-infected players with the most infected kills are awarded with Mythic Gems.

Every 45 seconds, If there are less than 6 infected players and a player has not been infected after 30s, a player from the bottom 5 amount of infected kills gets converted.  Players in spawn will not be chosen as infected, and players chosen randomly are given 1,000 Gold
